Alternative Medicine on Channel 27

Would you like a little more publicity for your practice?
Do you think that Oriental Medicine, itself, could benefit from more PR?
Does it concern you that so many DOMs in this state have healing talents that are so vastly under-utilized and/or under-remunerated?
Are you concerned about the threat that we are currently facing with respect to our access to Traditional Chinese Medical Herbs?
Were you just the slightest bit alarmed by the recently withdrawn Durbin amendment to the Defense Bill, which threatened to limit access to dietary supplements on military bases?
Does it worry you that the media is presently advocating stricter controls on The American Consumer's right to choose natural herbal/dietary products?
Wouldn't you like to raise the level of consciousness here in the New Mexico community?
Don't you think that this might benefit both your practice, in particular, and the goals and objectives of Oriental, Alternative & Complementary Medicine, in general?

As a way of bringing further awareness of Oriental, Alternative and Complementary Medicine to the general public, the OMANM is about to embark upon a joint effort with other Alternative & Complementary medical associations within the state. Initially, the main focus of that effort will be to air a regular Alternative & Complementary Medicine show on Channel 27.
On the political front, we intend to educate the Public on the continuing assault upon their freedom to choose and access natural medical alternatives.
The OMANM will also be educating the Public on the benefits of – and, hopefully, the increasing availability of - Acupuncture (Auricular) Detox.
But more than that, we are looking for each individual DOM, Naturopath, Chiropractor, or Nutritional Counselor etc. to see this as His / Her Alternative Medicine show: as a vehicle for the promotion of his / her practice & particular facet/style of Alternative Medical Treatment.
We will be able to film either in the studio at Channel 27 (on 4th & Tijeras, in Albuquerque) or else onsite at the practitioner's clinic or in a lecture hall.
We can explore the idea of airing discussions between practitioners of different healing arts, perhaps providing an idea of their different perspectives on and treatment approaches for various medical conditions.
In general, this is to be a forum held for the purpose of educating the public and promoting our medicine, our philosophy, and ourselves.
